Which Foundation shade and undertone is right for you?

Not sure which foundation is right for you? Here is a brief guide to help you decide.

The colour of foundation that you wear is first determined by whether you have a pink (cool) or yellow (warm) undertone to your skin.  One of the best ways to tell your skin undertone, regardless of your complexion, is to look at the veins on the inside of your wrists.  If they appear yellow or green you have a warm undertone to your skin.  If they appear blue you have a cool undertone to your skin.  If your veins have elements of blue, green and yellow you have a neutral undertone.

Currently our foundation range currently comprises of 10 shades divided into two categories:

Pink (cool) Undertones (in which there are four shades)

Yellow (warm) Undertones (in which there are four shades)

The four shades with a Pink Undertones, range from the lightest Fair up to Dark with each having an equally incremental addition of pigment relative to the previous shade.

The first four shades with a Yellow Undertones, range from: the lightest Naturally Beige up to Honey Beige, with each having an equally incremental addition of pigment relative to the previous shade.

As a rule of thumb, people with cool undertones to their skin can wear foundations with a yellow (warm) undertone but the reverse does not hold true. Of course the shade that you choose will also be influenced by personal preference.
